Cobi Rehab is growing
Cobi Rehab A/S expands its range of innovative products for the care sector through the acquisition of Careturner A/S
We are proud to announce the acquisition of Careturner A/S – a leading innovator in pressure ulcer prevention and sensory stimulation. With this acquisition, we strengthen our position in the market for assistive devices and healthcare technology. Together, we are now even better equipped to create the solutions of the future for immobile citizens both in Denmark and internationally.
Optimal positioning for greater comfort
Cobi Rehab has always focused on offering the best positioning solutions for immobile citizens. In addition, Cobi Rehab offers several similar products for bariatric citizens. With the addition of Careturner’s products to our range, we can now offer even more innovative solutions for pressure ulcer prevention and improved bed comfort. Careturner’s tilt-and-turn system ensures optimal positioning throughout the day as well as unique sensory stimulation in bed – benefiting both residents and care staff.
– We acquired Careturner to add another signature product to our already strong product line for nursing homes. We see many synergies between Cobi Rehab and Careturner, both in terms of sales, service, training, production, and logistics. We believe that Careturner’s employees will integrate well into our organization and future plans. We aim to serve the few, in many places, and we have global growth ambitions. With this acquisition, we are now in a stronger position to realize our vision of becoming one of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers to nursing homes within assistive devices and welfare technology for immobile citizens, says Henrik Møllegaard, majority shareholder and Chairman of the Board at Cobi Rehab A/S.
Careturner and Cobi Rehab share a common vision to improve care and quality of life for immobile citizens. With this acquisition, we are stronger and ready to continue our mission to deliver solutions that make a difference in the care sector.

Enhancing Bariatric Client Care
Mette Hornbæk Söderberg, our occupational therapist and certified clinician in assistive technology provision, hosted an online seminar yesterday in collaboration with our New Zealand distributor, Cubro.
More than 220 occupational therapists and physiotherapists from across the country participated online.
The seminar, titled “Enhancing Bariatric Client Care,” focused on various aspects of bariatric rehabilitation.
Mette addressed topics such as comorbidities, the importance of body shapes in choosing assistive devices, interactions with bariatric clients, assessments, and analyses of functional levels and environmental factors.
There were numerous specific questions throughout about bariatric assistive devices, as well as a significant number of subsequent downloads of our English-language assessment form for bariatric client measurements.

Enhancing Bariatric Patient Care
“You are ahead of us in this” …
Last week, occupational therapist Mette Hornbæk Söderberg and physiotherapist Camilla Kastrupsen were in both Dublin, Galway and Cork, where they moderated seminars with a total of 180 physiotherapists, occupational therapists and nurses in 360° rehabilitation of bariatric patients.
The commitment and curiosity were great, and feedback from the participants included:
– that “we in Scandinavia are more advanced in terms of having an organized and coordinated approach to the providing of assistive products” and
– that “we are lucky that in Denmark we have already established bariatric hospital rooms and community rehabilitation rooms”.
In addition to the need for knowledge about bariatric assistive products, there was also great interest in talking about soft values such as stigmatization, psychosocial aspects and a holistic approach to the target group.
The seminars came about in collaboration with our dealer and partner Beechfield Healthcare Ltd.

Bariatric seminar in Iceland
Last week, we sent our two colleagues occupational therapist Mette Hornbæk Söderberg and export manager (and physiotherapist) Julia Sandsten to Iceland, where in collaboration with our dealer Studlaberg Health Technology in Reykjavik, they presided over a seminar on rehabilitation of bariatric patients.
35 participants from various units in the Icelandic healthcare system took part with great interest, as no bariatric seminar of this kind has been held in Iceland before.
In addition to the seminar, Mette and Julia also reviewed our two new comfort wheelchairs Cobi Cruise Comfort Wheelchair and Kamille Comfort Wheelchair for various stakeholders.
